Ghar ki shaan
Every Marathi home has its shaan: Aaji's Paithani folded carefully in the cupboard, the brass samai polished for Diwali, the rangoli at the door on Gudi Padwa. The little things that turn a house into a ghar.
And then there's the one who greets every guest at that door, guards the rangoli (mostly), and makes the whole family smile. This gold-and-pink Paithani silk is for them, because the true shaan of your ghar has a wagging tail.
“They didn't just join the family. They became its pride.”
Why Paithani is special
Paithani comes from the town of Paithan on the banks of the Godavari. Traditionally handwoven in silk and gold zari, it's the saree Maharashtrian brides wear and families pass down, from aaji to aai to daughter.

In the details
The real weave of Maharashtra, with the rich colour, lustre and character that make Paithani unmistakable.
Glowing gold with soft pink: a colour pairing loved across Maharashtrian celebrations, from haldi-kunku to Diwali.
They swing with every wag and add a festive flourish, just like the tassels on a bride's dupatta.
Adjusts for a snug, comfortable fit, and the D-ring lets you clip on a leash, so the shaan continues on the evening walk.

See how we give backGood questions
Is this really authentic Paithani silk?
Yes. This bandana is made from authentic Paithani silk from Maharashtra in gold and pink, finished with pink tassels, an adjustable strap and a D-ring for your dog's leash.
What makes Paithani special?
Paithani comes from Paithan in Maharashtra, where it has been woven for centuries. It's traditionally made from silk and gold zari, and its craft received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2010. It's one of the most treasured textiles in Maharashtrian homes.
How is this different from your other Paithani bandana?
Both are authentic Paithani with pink tassels. This is our gold-and-pink Marathi Shaan design with a leash D-ring. See the Paithani Dog Bandana with Pink Tassels to pick your favourite, or get both for a two-pup family.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure around your dog's neck where the collar sits and allow two fingers of space, then match it to the size guide above: S 9–15 in, M 15–22 in and L 20–30 in. If you're between sizes, go one up; the strap adjusts down.
Can I attach a leash to it?
Yes. It has a D-ring for clipping on a leash, perfect for festive strolls and photo walks. For strong pullers or long walks, a sturdy collar or harness is still the safest choice.
Are the tassels safe?
They're decorative, so please keep an eye on your pup while they wear it and don't let them chew on the tassels. Take the bandana off for naps, crate time and unsupervised play.
Is it a good gift?
It's one of our most meaningful gifts: perfect for a gotcha day, a first Diwali, Gudi Padwa, or a Maharashtrian wedding where the dog is part of the celebration.
Can I exchange it for another size?
Please see our Returns & Refunds policy for details on exchanges.
